About Kathleen Izzo, CHT Empirical Support for my Methodology How Does a Healing Circle Work?
|
About Kathleen Izzo, CHT: I had been a workshop facilitator for 15 years, successfully presenting workshops on a variety of topics for Personal & Organizational Transformation. One day I was presenting a workshop in Saranac Lake, New York, when I suddenly felt nauseous and physically overwhelmed. That night, I began having convulsions. That was the beginning of a downward spiral that resulted in catastrophic illness and a barrage of symptoms. I was eventually diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, a complex and chronic illness for which there is no known cure. Suffering from severe symptoms, such as convulsions, extreme headaches, mental confusion, excruciating joint pain, diminished strength and a complete lack of life force that left me, at times, unable to even roll over in bed, I set out to discover what was blocking my health. I had a strong belief that the body is designed to heal itself, and that if it wasn't, if you could identify what was blocking the body from healing, and you removed those barriers, healing would then occur naturally. I conducted extensive research and relied on my intuition to guide me to discover what I needed to know. On my road to recovery, I discarded many techniques and interventions that did not work, but I also learned, developed, and adapted very powerful tools and techniques that I believe can be applied to cure oneself of any chronic illness. It is these tools and techniques that are taught in a Healing
Circle. Successful
application of the process can guide anyone to health. The concept of a
Healing Circle grew out of my desire to create for others the kind of
environment and support I would liked to have had in my own search for |
